Rehna tu - Delhi 6
Spent my entire afternoon today listening to Delhi 6 songs and I am completely in love with this one, so much so that I looped this song and heard it for about 3 hours!! Any details i give about this one, will probably not do enough justice to the song, so all I am gonna say is just listen and let me know if you dont like it!

Masakalli - Delhi 6
Rehman is one of my favorite composers - from the time he swept away Bollywood with his Rangeela. The latest album from Rehman is Delhi 6, and to say the least it appears that he has completely played with the music this time. Each song in this album is something that you would have never heard before.
Over the years, waiting for a Rehman soundtrack has become an event in itself, The man, his music defines popularity...with a ton of fan sites dedicated to him .making terms like Rehmanisms popular. Though I do end up liking his music eventually, s-o-m-e-times my first take on his music will be... **** [ seeing stars]. Delhi 6 started that way. The first song I heard from his album Delhi 6 was Masakalli - what was that supposed to mean? anyway, i loaded it on my ipod and heard the song and i was shattered - there was nothing I liked about the song... and then after a couple of hearings I have begun to appreciate it for its rustic beauty.
Recommendation: Dont dismiss it at the first shot - hold on and like most of Rehman's music the music will grow on you slowly!

Apne - Apne
This is one of the very few Himesh Reshammiya's music that is pleasing on the years. Most of his compositions are loud with heavy beats with very less focus on lyrics/singing and emotions but this song breaks all his previous notions of being a disco-beats composer and nasal singer. IMO this is one of his best pieces! Excellent lyrics and even better rendition by Sonu nigam!!!!

If I had to pick a movie where all the songs were top notch - JBJ would definitely fall in this category!
All the songs from this movie, seem to be based around the same beats and around the same lines ( JBJ) but yet have a certain uniqueness to them - oxymoron ha?

Teri ore - Singh is King
Shreya ghosal and Rahat fateh ali khan lending their voices to this romantic song!
Katrina Kaif and her sarees look amazing in the video. That is also one of the reasons why I like this song!
Shreya Ghosal is growing to be my favorite singer! There isn't much variation in her singing like Sunidhi Chauhan but she has a sweet voice and is very soothing to the ears!
The use of bagpipes at the beginning of the song makes this even more delightful! Also, Kareena Kapoor looks gorgeous in those sarees. The song setting reminds me of Suraj hua madham from K3G.

I relate to this song quite a bit, as on some level I am the kind of person that this song is speaking about. I find it very difficult to share my feelings - mostly the bad/hurtful ones.
